Why did I apply for BDP?
I graduated from Loughborough University with a degree in Information Technology Management for Business in June 2018 and knew that I wanted to go into a technological graduate scheme based in London. I found the BDP graduate scheme advertised online and thought it sounded great due to the wide range of different roles and projects you can get involved in. The BDP graduate scheme also begins with an intensive 8-week training programme which particularly interested me.
What was the recruitment process like?
I can honestly say that out of all the recruitment processes I have been through, the BDP one was by far the most enjoyable. Not only did I find the people helpful and friendly throughout the process, but the tasks completed gave me a real insight into the role of a consultant. At each stage of the process there is lots of communication and feedback which is really valuable.
Company Values
One of the best things about BDP are the company values and the culture. Everyone is so friendly, and no question is ever a silly question, people will always be happy to help.
As a graduate you also get additional support through the Graduate Programme Manager, your Line Manager and your buddy, so there is always someone to speak to!
Experience so far
The experience I have had at BDP so far has hugely exceeded all my expectations of a graduate scheme. During the first 8-weeks we completed an intensive training course that gave us a background of all the basic skills required to be a consultant. During this time, we completed the Base SAS certification and received a huge amount of support from both the BDP team and SAS.
What I am looking forward to
I’ve only been at BDP for a few months and I cannot believe how much I have learnt already, so I am really looking forward to seeing what else I will learn over the next few months. I’m particularly excited to see what different projects I can get involved in.
