- What advice would you give to someone starting out their career at Business Data Partners?
My advice would be to learn as much as you can from the people around you. You’ll have opportunities to work with some very bright and experienced people so watch and learn and don’t be afraid to ask questions – everyone’s friendly!
- What do you like most about your role?
Definitely the variety – I can’t imagine getting bored in this role! In a relatively short space of time, I’ve been exposed to different sectors, different technologies, and different client cultures. This means the work is always fresh and exciting (not to mention challenging) and I’ve gained a lot of valuable experience quite quickly.
- What attracted you to working at BDP?
The company has a very strong sense of community. The nature of our work means that we work in different teams, across different clients, and often embedded within teams of in-house employees. BDP put a lot of effort into making sure that in this context we don’t lose sight of our shared identity, and that our networks of support, advice, and friendships span the whole company.
- What does a typical day look like for you?
To be honest, my work can be so varied that a ‘typical’ day doesn’t come around that regularly. Recently I’ve been doing a lot of incident-based work though, so an example might be a day on which an urgent issue has been raised and I’ve been asked to investigate it.
