Technology Practice

Business Data Partners (BDP) Technology Consultants work in close partnership with clients, understanding not only their current needs but working with them to inform and influence their future needs. BDP has strong software vendor relationships and an acute understanding of wider market trends.   BDP Technology Practice drives training programmes, consultant roadmaps, and ultimately our technology offering.

BDP consultants are technically trained and certified in the leading Data & Analytical technologies including SAS, Teradata, Oracle, IBM Cognos, MS SQL, Qlik, R, Informatica, Hadoop or Tableau.

Project Management Practice

BDP Project Managers (PMs) are instrumental when supporting clients through transformation programmes bringing together expertise in a range of essential disciplines. Having proven themselves as developers, data analysts & BI consultants, our PMs are well equipped with the knowledge to manage complex data driven programmes and critically have domain skills and strong stakeholder management qualities. BDP PMs have experience in delivering traditional & Agile projects; by nature, they are flexible, pragmatic and bring years of experience to help clients realise the benefits and outcomes from transformation.

Business Analysis Practice

BDP Business Analysts (BAs) combine knowledge and capabilities across three core disciplines of domain expertise, technical capability and functional business analysis skills.  This allows analysts to get to the heart of our clients’ business problems quickly and provide solutions that best meet their needs.

BDP Analysts have experience across Banking and Life & Pensions. A significant area of expertise is within regulatory compliance (Basel II & III, CRD IV, IFRS 9, Solvency II), reporting (COREP, FINREP, Pillar 3, etc.), and remediation.  This domain knowledge enables BDP analysts to quickly engage with their stakeholders and understand the issues at hand.  Compliance to industry standard frameworks are ensured and the most suitable solutions are designed.

BAs at BDP have received training in business analysis, from requirements elicitation and process modelling to stakeholder management and business case development.  BDP analysts work within agile or traditional delivery frameworks and have professional qualifications within business analysis (BCS), risk (GARP) and project governance (Prince2).

Testing Practice

BDP Testing Consultants develop tailored test strategies for clients to deliver confidence in the accuracy, completeness and usefulness of DW and BI solutions. Testing is a must to safeguard the implementation of any integrated data model from disparate systems into a robust, well governed and quality solution. BDP advocates early and continuous testing; beginning with requirements verification to embed quality, remove defects (and therefore additional cost) early in delivery, through to dynamic testing throughout the Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC), and ultimately into production.

BDP has a team of ISTQB certified Test Consultants with many years experience in testing data-oriented projects following traditional and Agile delivery models, and using industry leading application lifecycle management/test tools (licensed and open source).
